Why forget WLL ?

With so much being written and said about 2G scam, why is everyone forgetting the orginal telecom scam - allowing backdoor entry to operators through WLL, with the connivance of leading industrial houses and politicans? I think that particular event was the starting point for the many ills and scams that plague the Indian telecom industry today.
